Maybe you should know about pubsubhubbub and Hot Potato!
Just find-out about two new things this morning, and I thought it could be great to share them with you.
Pubsubhubbub
Pubsubhubbub protocol is an extension to Atom and RSS and basically it can get near-instant notifications on a topic you are supplying/interested-in. To put it simple: Your website yells: “I have new content!” and hub replies:”Give it to me!”, and you really are in a publisher = subscriber approach, check this out:

Hot Potato
Hot Potato is pretty similar to most instant message tools out there, but it allows you to share about what you are doing but without having to write everything down, depending on what you are doing, you can choose between “I’m watching“, “I’m listening to“, “I’m attending“,”I’m reading“,”I’m thinking about“, “I’m playing“, etc. It spreads the word through major social networks websites, like facebook, twitter, Foursquare, etc. Basically, its design allows Hot potato to offer a faster way of telling people what you are doing, Give it a try!
